Dr. David Fetherman believes the best doctors are those who have experienced healing themselves. After a major spinal injury nearly ended his athletic career in high school, he discovered firsthand the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care. He now leads spine and injury care at Spine-Ability for patients across Apollo Beach, Riverview, Tampa, Brandon, Ruskin, Sun City Center, Gibsonton and surrounding Hillsborough County.
Dr. David earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The University of Scranton and his Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. His background in neuroscience allows him to view the body through a unique lens, focusing on the relationship between the nervous system and the spine. He has previous training in advanced diagnostic testing including NCV and EMG, which helped shape his approach to identifying the underlying causes of chronic pain and traumatic injuries.
Dr. David has a special interest in men's health and performance, helping men maintain strength, mobility, and long-term wellness through nervous system optimization and functional care. He is also passionate about supporting veterans and is dedicated to helping those who have served regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Before moving to Florida in 2014, Dr. David was a professional trumpet player and the owner of a handcrafted ice cream shop. Today, he lives and works in Apollo Beach with his wife, Dr. Marissa, and their four children.
