Dr. Ryan Canavan brings a strong background in rehabilitation and movement-based care to the Spine-Ability team, serving patients across Apollo Beach, Riverview, Tampa, Brandon, Ruskin, Sun City Center, Gibsonton and surrounding Hillsborough County. He earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Indiana State University, where he developed a passion for helping patients recover from injury and restore proper function. He later relocated to Florida to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida.

Before joining Spine-Ability, Dr. Canavan practiced in Bradenton, Florida, where he gained extensive experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Canavan focuses on identifying and correcting the underlying functional issues that contribute to pain and injury. He believes that empowering patients with knowledge about their bodies is a key part of the healing process. His treatment approach combines hands-on care with modern rehabilitation techniques including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercises, trigger point therapy, shockwave therapy, and the Webster Technique for pregnancy care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Canavan enjoys golfing, watching movies, and traveling. He believes strongly in practicing the same wellness principles he encourages in his patients.
